That China continues to be reluctant to declare Masood Azhar a terrorist even after ample evidence against him shows its true face (“Case against Azhar solid”, Feb.23). It is strange that China wants more evidence, for the U.S., the U.K. and France have all thrown their weight behind India to get Azhar designated as a global terrorist. China’s attitude proves that it does not want to annoy Pakistan. Since India cannot possibly provide more evidence against Azhar, it is time for China to come around if it wants to improve trade and bilateral relations instead of dodging the issue on one pretext or another.
