On health

The write-up “Walk, talk and laugh your way to health” (Open Page, May 15) was hilarious. Parks have become the ideal place for all to spend quality time in the morning. And for the health freaks, we have juice made of jamboo (jamun), neem, bitter-gourd and other ‘health' tonics which are sold at affordable prices.

On my early morning walk, I often come across a middle-aged man who entertains everyone with his action. He walks with his hands fully stretched. No one walks close to him for fear of being hit. There is another group which assembles just to gossip. Another sight is of lines of crates with packets of fresh milk, vegetables being ferried to the market and newspaper vendors dropping off the paper.
