After steering the founding of a new bank, the Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank, China now assumes the role of building the economy of nations not only in the region but also those of member countries across West Asia and Europe. It is remarkable that China is growing by leaps and bounds not only in terms of its military power but also in its economic prowess. It may be in a position that may tempt it to impose conditions to its advantage on other member nations with the aid of its veto powers. Therefore, other nations should be wary of this danger from this potential Leviathan. In this context, Indian participation will help in giving direction to economic decisions.
