Hiroshima’s legacy

Time has ticked by and 60 sixty years have passed but the ramifications of dropping the nuclear bomb on Japan continue to haunt the world (“ >From city of remembrance to city of hope”, Sept.7). The world has advanced in terms of science and technology and along with it magnified the perils of a nuclear war that could happen any time. In a nuclear war, there is no winner or loser. It is total decimation. World leaders must ensure that a firm deterrent is put in place.
