The article “Tribute to students ... on Teachers' Day” (Open Page, Sept. 4) reminded me of my science teacher who left the school when we were in fourth grade. She was instrumental in my developing a passion for science, which I had loathed till then. Whenever she realised that the class was getting bored, she quickly switched to telling us a short story and then resumed from where she had stopped. She always related theory to examples in real life. We were upset when we knew she was going, but she asked us not to lose hope and gave us her address.
