‘Gravest crime’

March 15, 2014 12:54 am | Updated November 16, 2021 07:34 pm IST

This refers to the report “ >High Court upholds death sentences in Delhi rape case ” (March 14). Although it took months to assert the verdict given by the fast track court, justice has been delivered. There should be no mercy shown to the convicts because it was a case that revealed the depths of deviance and depravity which claimed the life of an innocent and hapless girl. The verdict should be a warning to all those who dare try and commit a crime against women and a reminder that the law is not feeble.
