Tharoor again

Remarks by Minister of State for External Affairs, Shashi Tharoor, on diverse topics often attract criticism. The latest is the controversy over his alleged remarks on Jawaharlal Nehru’s foreign policy. The Congress, it appears, has opened a media room for decrypting Mr. Tharoor’s remarks. A solution for the frequent embarrassment caused to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be the removal of Mr. Tharoor from the Cabinet.

The Minister should be asked to concentrate on his work rather than tweeting away to controversies in the media.

Syed Khaja,

New Delhi

Mr. Tharoor has not adjusted himself to Indian politics. He should understand that for being a present-day Congressman, he should be totally loyal to the Nehru-Gandhi family. The political survival of every Congress leader hinges on that.

Even if he joins any other party, he should sing the praise of the leaders. Let us hope he will soon learn the art of political living.
