Corrections and clarifications — July 11, 2020

July 11, 2020 12:05 am | Updated 01:07 am IST

>>In a story titled "Nizamuddin event: 60 Malaysians walk free on fine of ₹7,000 each" (July 10, 2020, some editions) a sentence that read “Mr. Hari Haran told the court that the alleged offences were committed inadvertently and not without any mal intention and would not be repeated. should be corrected to read ... committed inadvertently and without any mal intention.

>>The photo caption that accompanied the story titled “Supreme Court panel seeks report on Kaziranga animal corridor encroachment” (some editions, July 9, 2020) erroneously referred to Kaziranga National Park in Bokakhat district of Assam. Actually, Bokakhat is a sub-division of Golaghat district. A major chunk of Kaziranga is in Golaghat district. The national park and tiger reserve is spread across Nagaon and Biswanath districts too.
