>> An error in the surname. The first and last paragraph of a report, “Soumya case: Kerala files review petition in SC” (September 24, 2016) mentioned the victim’s name as Soumya Viswanathan instead of just Soumya.

>> The second paragraph of a report, “India, France ink 7.87 bn agreement for 36 Rafales” (Front Page, September 24, 2016), said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the decision for direct purchase in April 2014 . It should have been April 2015 .

>>The Economic Survey is not prepared by the Reserve Bank of India as mentioned in the Perspective page article, “Railway Budget, a vanishing trick” (September 22, 2016). It is prepared by the Chief Economic Advisor under the Ministry of Finance.

>>The interview with S. Abid Ali — “I was fortunate to be part of a famous win” (Sport, September 22, 2016) — had two errors. The substitute fielder in the 1971 Oval Test was Kenia Jayantilal , not Kenny , as given in the report. Also, the name of the English batsman run out by Chandra in the same Test was John Jameson , not Jamie Johnson .
