FATF keeps Pakistan on ‘Greylist’, condemns Pulwama attack

The multilateral body on terror financing, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), condemned the February 14 Pulwama attack , issuing a stern statement to Pakistan to comply with an action plan on terror financing or face further action, its plenary session in Paris decided on Friday.

Two alleged JeM operatives held in Deoband

The Uttar Pradesh police on Friday arrested two alleged operatives of Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Deoband, Saharanpur, on Friday. The Kashmiri youths arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) were identified as Shahnawaz Teli and Aqib Ahmed Malik.

Police have dropped sedition charges slapped against 14 Aligarh Muslim University after the recent protests on the campus, citing lack of evidence. The students were booked for sedition after Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) district president Mukesh Lodhi alleged he was assaulted by some students who chanted pro-Pakistan slogans, police said.

Now register complaint with DoT against offensive WhatsApp messages

People can now file a complaint with the Department of Telecom (DoT) against offensive messages received on WhatsApp, an official said Friday. The victim just needs to furnish a screenshot of the message along with the mobile number and e-mail it to ccaddn-dot@nic.in.
