Karnataka Minister Eshwarappa to resign on Friday

Speaking to presspersons in Shivamogga on Thursday evening, Mr. Eshwarappa said that he had decided to resign to avoid embarrassment to the party and leaders.

IMD forecasts ‘normal’ monsoon, updates definition of ‘average’ rain

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) while forecasting a ‘normal’ monsoon for this also revised downwards the definition of what constitutes average rainfall as part of periodic update.
