Govt announces major bank merger: 27 PSBs will now become 12

GDP growth slows to 5% in April-June

Asia's third-largest economy grew at a slower-than-expected 5.0% in the latest three-month period, compared with 5.8% in the previous quarter, government data showed. For the same three months, China reported annual economic growth of 6.2%.

Last date for filing I-T returns has not been extended: CBDT

It has come to the notice of CBDT that an order is being circulated on social media pertaining to extension of due date for filing of I-T Returns, @IncomeTaxIndia, the official handle of Income Tax department tweeted.
