Protest outside Pak Supreme Court

Pakistan’s Supreme Court on Friday, in a unanimous decision, declared that any person proved to be dishonest or not righteous is barred from politics for life or holding any public office.

This will effectively end any hopes for the return of three time former prime minister Nawaz Sharif who had to resign after being declared dishonest by the apex court in July last year.

 Nearly five vehicles parked in the basement of the building were destroyed in the fire at the residential building in Delhi’s Kohat Enclave area on Thursday.

A couple and their two children died after a major fire broke out at a multi storey building in Kohat Enclave area in north-west Delhi on early Friday.

The  Thai New Year  is observed today, April 13. Visiting local temples and offering food to the Buddhist monks is common. Apart from these rituals, the holiday is known for its water festival. Streets are closed to traffic, and are used as platforms for water fights.

Another fine day on the Gold Coast for day nine of the Games with temperatures already 25 degrees Celsius (77 fahrenheit) and the sun breaking through the cloud cover. Plenty of medals up for grabs but the Gold Coast's golden girl, high hurdler Sally Pearson, will not be running in the women's 100 metres hurdles having pulled out with injury.

The first Commonwealth Games women's rugby sevens tournament and semi-finals in boxing and medals in wrestling and shooting are key events to watch out for on Thursday, April 13, 2018.
