PANAJI: The Goa police has ordered preliminary probe against Police Inspector(PI) from Goa Cyber Crime Cell following a complaint by a NRI of Goan origin from Ribandar near here accusing the police officer of having an extra-marital affair with his wife.

The NRI, based in Dubai, has accused Goa Cyber cell PI Rajesh Job of the extra-marital affairs with his wife.

Confirming this, the Dy Inspector General of Police Vimal Gupta told The Hindu that a written complaint addressed to the Director General of Police has been submitted to him.

He said he has deputed a DySP level officer to conduct a preliminary investigation.

“Based on the report, we will decide future course of action,” Mr. Gupta said.

The NRI has stated that after working in the Gulf for nine years he gave up his job and returned to Goa being very disturbed and distressed over the fact that his wife was having an extra marital affair with the PI Job.

In the complaint the NRI has further stated that in September 2013 his wife had been to the Cyber Cell as his daughter’s Facebook account was hacked and since then PI Job got involved with his wife.
