More buses from TTDC for temple tour


Following overwhelming response to its five-day 108 Amman Temple tours from the devotees, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) is planning to deploy more buses into service.

According to TTDC officials, the five-day tour is being operated during the Tamil month of Adi to enable devotees to have darshan of 108 Amman temples in Chennai, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Mayavaram, Karaikal, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Tiruchi, Pudukkottai and Madurai districts.

The inaugural service was flagged off by Tourism Minister S. Gokula Indira on Thursday. The tour starts from Tourism Complex, Wallajah Road on Mondays and Thursdays at 6 a.m. and the tariff per person is Rs.4,300. — Special Correspondent
