Panaji: The police have registered a complaint against Rahul Bahadur, manager and station head of Indigo FM 91.9, for allegedly outraging the modesty of one of its lady employees on November 11.

According to the complaint, the accused on November 10 allegedly made sexually-coloured remarks and also stalked her. She further said that the accused allegedly threatened her on various occasions.

Chandan Choudhury, North Goa Superintendent of Police, told The Hindu that the accused has been the manager of Indigo FM for the last two months. “The victim had initially complained to the internal complaint committee, but she approached the police when no action was taken. We took cognisance of the complaint and registered it.”

The case was registered under Sections 354 (outraging modesty), 354(a) (sexual harassment), 354(d) (stalking), and 504 (intentional insult).

An Indigo FM spokesperson said that initially one of the employees suspected to be involved in embezzlement complained of being mentally harassed.

“Upon conducting an investigation, the organisation found no merit in the claim. When this was communicated to the employee, the employee became incommunicado and instead filed a sexual harassment complaint with the police,” the spokesperson said.

The organisation got to know about this when the police came in for investigation, the spokesperson said.
