CPI condemns ‘mindless massacre'

July 01, 2010 12:11 am | Updated 12:11 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The Communist Party of India on Wednesday condemned the “mindless massacre” of CRPF jawans by Maoists and termed such heinous actions self-defeating.

Referring to the killing of 26 CRPF jawans on Tuesday, the party pointed out that in recent times there were several such incidents, including the derailment of a train, in which innocent people were killed.

“We urge upon Maoists to desist from this kind of heinous massacre of innocents,” the party Central Secretariat said in a statement.
