In view of the February 4 Assembly election, the Goa government has ordered the closure of all bar counters in restaurants from 5 p.m. on February 2 till 12 a.m. on February 5, and on March 11, the verdict day.
However, the restaurants can remain open to serve food. The owners should display a board on the premises stating that no liquor will be served.
