Pakistan loses to Australia in 2nd T20 match

Australian fast bowler Billy Stanlake demolished Pakistan’s top order with four quick wickets as they were held to 116 all out in the second match of the Zimbabwe Twenty20 Tri-Series.

Stanlake took 4 for 8 in his opening burst, the most economical spell by an Australian in T20 international cricket, and the second best ever behind James Faulkner’s 5 for 27 the last time the two teams met.

Uttarakhand experienced a cloudburst at Munsiyari in Pithoragarh district, with several roads being washed way.

According to the India Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains at a few places, with extremely heavy rains at isolated places, are very likely over Uttarakhand and east Uttar Pradesh.

Rescuers in Thailand scrabbled to clear a constricted passageway for divers deep inside a flooded cave complex as the search for 12 boys and their soccer coach entered the ninth day. The divers from a Thai Navy SEAL unit were within 500 metres of a chamber containing an elevated rock mound, nicknamed ”Pattaya Beach” by cavers, which could have provided the boys with a refuge when heavy rains flooded the cave, blocking the way out.

Several families who had fled danger and violence overseas were enjoying a 3-year-old’s birthday party in Boise, Idaho, when the unthinkable happened —a man ran up and began chasing and stabbing the children, turning his knife on the adults who tried to intervene. The attack came on Saturday night at a low-income apartment complex that is also home to refugee families from around the world. Nine people were injured, including the birthday girl and five other children ranging in age from 4 to 12.

‘Happiness curriculum’ begins in Delhi schools

Starting July 2, 2018, lakhs of Delhi government school students from nursery to Class VIII will be taught a ‘happiness curriculum’.  The initiative, which focuses on holistic education, will cover around eight lakh students. The curriculum focuses on meditation, moral teachings, and mental exercises, with the aim of turning students into good human beings, according to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

Leftist outsider Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador won Mexico's presidential election handily on Sunday, exit polls showed, setting the stage for a government that will inherit tense relations with Washington and the scrutiny of nervous investors. Jose Antonio Meade, the candidate of the ruling centrist Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, conceded defeat to Mr. Obrador, a 64-year-old former Mexico City mayor, within minutes of the polls closing. “For the good of Mexico, I wish him the very best of success,” Mr. Meade said in a speech. Mr. Obrador's other rivals also conceded that the race was lost.
