We'll have to refund, says Khurshid

Within hours of the Supreme Court dismissing the Union government's review petition in the Vodafone case, Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid said the government would have to refund money — about Rs. 2,500 crore and interest — to the firm.

“No curative petition to my knowledge ... I suppose government will have to refund Vodafone money,” he said, after a meeting with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal.
