Watch: Mahatma Gandhi's impactful role in India's freedom struggle

India’s freedom struggle was a mass movement. However, there was one person - M.K. Gandhi - who led the nation in its non-violent resistance, which shook the very foundation of British rule.

When he returned to India from South Africa (as suggested by his political mentor Gopal Krishna Gokhale) in 1915, he had garnered international attention and a reputation as a powerful nationalist. And powerful he would be for the way in which he changed the course of the freedom struggle.

As the nation celebrates his 150th birth anniversary, here are some of the key moments from Gandhi’s impactful role in India’s long struggle for freedom.
