Some key agreements on homeland security are expected to be signed by the two countries during Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to Israel in November first week.
Mr. Singh may meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the visit beginning on November 5. The visit comes days after Israel’s National Security Adviser Joseph Cohen met the Home Minister and his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval.
It is learnt that Mr. Singh will first attend Interpol’s Ministerial conference in Monaco on November 3-4. Central Bureau of Investigation Director Ranjit Sinha will also participate in the conference.
The Home Minister will then travel to Israel for meetings with top government functionaries on homeland security issues. India is Israel’s largest defence equipment purchaser.
