Collector Yogitha Rana has said that the 2-BHK houses to be built for the poor shelter-less families would be registered in the name of women. Each house would be built in 125 square yards, consisting of two bed rooms, one hall, a kitchen and attached toilets.

At an official programme at Palda and Nyalkal villages in Nizamabad (Rural) Assembly constituency, on Thursday, she said at Palda 2.27 acre and at Nyalkal 14.12 acre land was identified for the construction of these houses. The colonies would have all facilities including drains, roads and so on.

She asked the beneficiaries to form committees among themselves to supervise the construction works.

MLA Bajireddy Govardhan said that during the first year 400 houses would be built. This year 25 houses would be sanctioned to Palda village and 30 to Nyalkal. In coming four years another 6,000 houses would be sanctioned to the constituency, he said.

Appealing to farmers not to commit suicide and inform their difficulties if any to him or to the district Collector, he said the Government would release the arrears of the Indiramma houses shortly. Joint Collector A. Ravinder Reddy and RDO P. Yadi Reddy were also present.
