Women passengers relieved of gold jewellery in train at Khammam

Chain snatchers struck at Visakha-Nanded Express train near Bonakal railway station and made away with gold chains weighing around 12 tola in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to sources, miscreants allegedly snatched away gold chains from women passengers of three coaches when the train slowed down while approaching Bonakal railway station at about 3 a.m.

The miscreants, suspected to be members of an organised gang of chain snatchers, fled from the scene soon after the incident by pulling the chain near Bonakal. The victims reportedly lodged separate complaints with the Secunderabad railway police over the incident a couple of hours later.
