The minimum temperature in Adilabad district fell below 19 degree Celsius for the first time this season signalling the arrival of winter though the day temperature hovers around a tormenting 35 degree Celsius mark. On October 6 and 7 the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.2 degree Celsius though it will be a shade lower in the upper reaches of hilly areas. The mornings are characterised by fog which is forming around 4 a.m. In the hilly areas it takes the sun to rise much above the horizon for the fog to vanish.
The difference between the minimum and maximum temperatures, typical of this period during the year, is responsible for the seemingly intolerable heat prevalent in the day. The nights are also getting colder much past the midnight.
