Villagers adopting resolutions and taking pledge expressing support to the TRS in the coming elections, for all the good work done by the government, have aroused interest in several districts.

In Bhupalpally district, about 150 voters of the tiny Ravi Nagar of Mulugu Ghanpur mandal publicly announced that they will vote for S. Madhusudhana Chary of TRS. At a meeting on Monday, they said about 30 people from their village got double bedroom houses. “Mr. Madhusudhana Chary has done many works in our village and in the constituency. He helped nomadic tribals by organising free medical camps and sanctioned schools. People are happy with him,” said one Jeevan of Mulug Ghanpur mandal.

At another meeting held at Peddammagadda in Hanamkonda, about 70 TRS party workers took a mass pledge that they will vote for D. Vinay Bhaskar in the next elections. B Dinna, local corporator who organised the meeting said the TRS party welfare programmes reached every section.

Similar meetings were held in Kommulavancha village of Nellikudur mandal and Beechirajupalli village of Maripeda mandal in Mahabubabad district where those working for TRS openly declared that they will vote for the TRS candidates.

In Nizamabad even as various communities and caste associations are passing resolutions unanimously extending support to the ruling party MLAs in coming Assembly elections, political observers doubt their commitment saying the scenario will change by the day of polling.

“They are passing resolutions either under pressure or to remain in good books of the ruling party,” they said.

“Resolutions are being passed not only in favour of the ruling party but also in support of Congress. However, they are more to support the TRS. We do not believe them unless and until they translated into votes. It has become a passion,” maintained one Hanmanth Rao, a farmer.

Passage of unanimous resolutions in support of TRS MLAs in the dissolved Assembly is high in Armoor constituency compared to other constituencies.

Community associations representing Erukala, Mudiraj, goldsmiths, Goud, Washermen, Munnurukapu, Padmashali, Muslim and Banjaras passed resolutions in their caste meetings taking oath to extend support to Ex-MLA A. Jeevan Reddy.
