Union Coal Secretary Anil Swarup along with Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N. Sridhar visited the Adriyala Long-wall project area in the Ramagundam-3 region in Karimnagar district on Friday.
On the occasion, the Coal Secretary commissioned a Mine Cruiser, which is a diesel-operated men transporting vehicle and can carry 16 coal-miners into the underground mine to their respective working places with better safety standards. The commissioning of vehicle will increase mobility of men in the underground mine.
He also inspected the mobile crusher, which is part of in-put crusher conveyor spreader technology for excavation of OB and coal. He also inspected the Adriyala long-wall project.
Mr. Anil Swarup appreciated the Singareni management for taking up the first-of-its-kind long-wall project and assured to take up such kind of technology for excavation of coal in other mines in the country. He also complimented the authorities for their environmental-friendly and safety norms.
