The Union government has declared Karimnagar-Sircilla-Kamaredy-Pitlam of 162 km distance and Sircilla-Siddipet-Duddeda-Jangaon-Suryapet of 170 km distance as national highways, said Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar.

In a press note here on Tuesday, the MP said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had met Union Minister Nitish Gadkari and informed the need for declaring national highways in Karimnagar district. Accordingly, the Minister responded positively and the highways would be included in the gazette notification.

He said that the Union government had earlier declared Jagtial-Gangadhara-Karimnagar-Huzurabad-Warangal as national highway 563.
