TU plans to increase green cover in campus

: The Telangana University authorities in association with the Forest Department, plans to improve green cover in the huge varsity campus by undertaking the ‘Haritha Haram’ in the first week of July.

As part of their efforts, Registrar R. Limbadri had a discussion with the Divisional Forest Officer, Ravinder and Forest Range Officer M.A. Habeed on Thursday. They have decided to plant saplings and opt for avenue plantation at CCT and Administrative Building.

They also decided to plant teak and bamboo saplings along the compound wall around the 580 acre campus and fruit bearing plants on a piece of 25 acres of land located opposite the Central Library. The Registrar said that they would plant saplings on the varsity south campus in Biknoor and at B.Ed College in Sarangapur.
