TRS meeting today

August 23, 2018 11:25 pm | Updated 11:25 pm IST

A joint meeting of the TRS parliamentary and legislature parties and State executive will be held on Friday afternoon under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to discuss crowd mobilisation for the party rally at Kongarkalan near Ibrahimpatan on September 2.

The party decided to mobilise a crowd of 25 lakh for the rally at an average of 25,000 per Assembly constituency. While about 30,000 to 35,000 people will be shifted from constituencies closer to Hyderabad, the number will be about 20,000 from distant places, a senior leader said.

The TRS will sound the launch of election fever in the State from the meeting. Unlike in the past when some leaders of other parties were invited to address rallies of such big nature, the TRS has made no such arrangements this time.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Ministers Nayani Narasimha Reddy and P. Mahender Reddy today inspected the site where the public meeting was proposed. They performed pooja for the construction of the dais.
