TRS leaders happy with nominated posts

Nine loyalists from erstwhile Warangal district rewarded

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti leaders from the erstwhile Warangal district were upbeat with many of them getting the much awaited nominated posts.

The erstwhile district got nine out of 39 State-level corporation chairman posts. The Chief Minister recognized the work of senior and long serving leaders at various levels. Even workers from the lowest-level were honoured with the posts at State and district levels.

The leaders from the erstwhile Warangal district who got the State-level chairmen posts are — Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, K. Rajaiah Yadav, L. Kishan Rao, M. Yadava Reddy, Mohammed Yousuf, B. Sampath Kumar, D. Mohan Gandhi Naik, Gundu Sudha Rani and K. Vasudeva Reddy.

These apart the ruling party nominated chairman to library committees in all the five districts and women leaders were honoured with women organizer posts.

The latest act of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao boosted the morale of the party workers and raised hopes among those who missed the chance.

Other senior leaders associated with the party for a long time like Gudimalla Ravi Kumar, Takkellapalli Ravinder Rao, Nagurla Venkanna, former minister Baswaraju Saraiah were yet to get their due.

Patience suggested

Chief Minister is learnt to have personally promised to do justice in nominated posts to some more leaders belonging to the erstwhile district. Among them is Gudimalla Ravi Kumar who was a strong contender for the Warangal Lok Sabha ticket. The Chief Minister during his recent visit to the district called on Mr. Ravi Kumar and convinced him to wait patiently.

Speaking to The Hindu , Mr. Ravi Kumar said he was confident that the Chief Minister would recognize his service at an appropriate time.

District president T. Ravinder Rao also aspired for MLC post which he could not get due to caste equation. Mr. Saraiah also aspired for MLC post however he was reportedly asked to wait for some more time.
