Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidate from Andol Assembly constituency Chanti Kranthi Kiran has claimed that people are with him as he was the local candidate and the party was sure to win the elections.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday along with Zaheerabad Lok Sabha member B.B. Patil after an MPTC and ZPTC joined the party from Congress, Mr. Kranthi Kiran said that former deputy chief minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha has been trying to prevent those who wish to join the TRS.

Asked about diversion of water from Singoor to Sriramsagar project resulting in drying up of 40,000 acres under the project, Mr. Kranthi has claimed that about 70,000 acres are under cultivation under the project due to storage in tanks. He did not say when water will reach Singoor from Mallannasagar reservoir stating that party seniors have to answer the question.
