A 35-year-old person and his two children were found dead on the railway tracks in Madhira town of Khammam District of Telangana in the early hours of Thursday.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) suspect it to be a case of suicide pact. The deceased have been identified as G. Venkataramana, 35, a petty businessman of Parvathagiri mandal in Warangal District, his son Ashrut, 10, and daughter Abigna, 7.

The railway police believe Venkataramana jumped in front of a speeding train along with his two children in an apparent suicide pact.

The incident took place on Wednesday night. The bodies of the trio were found scattered along the railway tracks on the outskirts of Madhira in the early hours of Thursday.

Venkatramana is understood to have resorted to the drastic step due to strained relationship with his wife and financial troubles, the GRP sources said. A case has been registered.
