Buying a deodorant in a regular market may still seem a luxury given its price. But have you even laid your hands on aroma de-fuser?
Produced by one Subhash Kolla, an expert in making aroma-related products, the perfume named Kasturi, an extract from deer and a top variety that he claims has been legally acquired, costs about Rs. 45,000 for 10 grams.
The less quality one in this costs about Rs. 3,500 for 10 grams. Other perfumes made by him cost about Rs. 18,000 for 10 grams while a lesser quality one costs Rs. 3,500 for 10 grams and Khus costs between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 3,500.
To prepare these fragrances, Subhash gets base oil from Kannoj in Uttar Pradesh. He first entered the business of manufacturing agarbattis, started by his father, and then expanded it to fragrances.
Of all the fragrances that he makes, the one that has an aesthetic touch to it is aroma de-fuser. About four drops of aroma de-fuser is put in a ceramic bowl containing water. It has a space for a lamp when lit will heat the water. Once the heating process begins, the aroma spreads across the house.
“I got support from Kalabharathi and Kalasrushti in dealing with my business. I am being supported by people as well and I send my products through courier,” Subhash said, who was here to exhibit and sell his products at Kalabharathi exhibition.
He has been selling his products under the brand name of Nataraj and develops different fragrances depending on the requirement of his customers.
He also sells economy fragrances like Dove, Jasmin, Champa, Rose, Lilly, Mist, Brust Musk, Bhukur, Amber and Firdose.
