Telangana sees 401 fresh COVID cases

Testing falls further; only 39,288 samples examined

Telangana registered 401 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, taking the total to 7,86,422. Of the 39,288 samples put to test, results of 984 were awaited.

The new infections include 124 from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits, 26 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 25 from Khammam and 24 from Rangareddy.

One more COVID patient succumbed to the infection, taking the death count to 4,109.

Of the total cases, 5,646 were active as of Saturday evening.
