TS Cong. turns to social media to `expose' TRS

March 13, 2015 06:28 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 07:51 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Telangana Congress has taken to social media to expose the alleged ‘false promises’ made by the TRS Government after it came to power. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has created a Facebook account www.facebook.com/kcrfakepromises, where all the promises made by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao would be uploaded. Similarly, a Twitter hashtag “#kcrfakepromises” too has been created.

The decision to use social media came after ‘Janata Ka Farman’ containing a list of 101 promises made by the TRS Government sent to the Chief Minister’s office was not accepted. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Vice-President Md. Ali Shabbir told reporters on Friday that took serious objection to the harsh remarks made by the Chief Minister at a meeting in Sadashivnagar in Nizamabad District during the launch of Mission Kakatiya programme.

Mr. Shabbir said that the 'Janata Ka Farman' sent by him contained no objectionable or provocative content. It only had the list of 101 major promises and the Chief Minister was requested to answer as to how many of them were implemented, partially-implemented or not implemented. “KCR not only refused to accept the 'Farman' sent to him through courier, but made personal remarks against me,” he said.
