After carving out a niche for himself as a popular TV anchor in a short span, Ch. Naveen, who rose to fame by playing the character Mallanna of the “Teenmaar” news bulletin fame on Channel V6, is all set to foray into the Legislative Council election fray soon.
A multi-faceted personality, Naveen ( well-known as Mallanna from Teenmaar show), 32, is a native of Nalgonda district.
He shot into limelight with the Teenmaar news bulletin with his splendid anchoring performance on television Channel V6.
Hailing from a poor family, Naveen did his M.A. in Political Science from Osmania University and also completed MBA in pursuit of academic excellence against all odds.
He worked as a paper boy for a few months during his school days.
He later served in various vernacular newspapers as well as a few Telugu TV channels as a reporter before his entry into Channel V6 over two years ago, sources said.
InteractionMr. Naveen was in the Khammam town on Monday to interact with various sections of people and seek their support for his electoral debut. Mr. Naveen well-known as Mallanna among the TV viewers struck an instant chord with them with his oratory skills.
I am planning to contest the ensuing council elections from Khammam, Nalgonda and Warangal Graduates constituency as an independent candidate, said Mr. Naveen.
I want to highlight the voices of common people and articulate their developmental aspirations in the Legislative council, he told The Hindu .
Visit three districts“When a person from a Chaiwallah’s family can become the Prime Minister, a paper boy can also become an MLC,” he remarked.
Naveen added that he has been planning to undertake an extensive tour of the three districts soon to meet the students, teachers and the people from a cross-section of society.
