The teacher and tribal organisations came out in support of workers and employees of the TSRTC on the 10th day of their strike in Adilabad on Monday.

While the teachers took out a rally from Telangana Chowk, the Adivasi Hakkula Porata Samithi or Tudum Debba joined them at Sundarayya Bhavan to express solidarity with the striking RTC trade unions.

Elsewhere, the striking workers and employees staged dharnas in front of depots in pursuance of their demands.

In Kumram Bheem Asifabad's Asifabad bus depot, one woman employee fell down in the jostling that ensued in front of the depot.

Meanwhile, the running of RTC services increased slightly during the day as 382 buses ran on various routes from the six depots in former united Adilabad district out of the 550 buses which used run. Of the buses that were run, 204 belonged to RTC and 178 were on hire with the corporation.
