TAUK to work with TITA in digital literacy programmes

TAUK expected to share best technology practices

Appreciating the Digithon’s Digital Literacy programme and other activities of Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA), a group of non-resident Indians came forward to offer its collaboration.

The Telangana Association of United Kingdom (TAUK) has announced to work with TITA in all the digital literacy and welfare programmes in Telangana State. A formal memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Sunday.

TITA global president Sundeep Kumar Makthala said many NRI groups from the United States have extended their support to the digital literacy programmes so far and many groups were approaching them for collaboration. Mr. Makthala said a group coming forward to collaborate with us from the U.K. is a first and we hope to take this collaboration as a good opportunity to serve the people.

Imparting education

Nearly 25 villages with NRI support have been imparted education through our Digithon programmes so far, he added.

“We want the TAUK members to not only support the programmes that are currently under way, but also share the technology best practices with us here,” said Mr. Makthala.

Village adoption

TAUK founder president Anil Kurmachalam said they wanted to work with TITA in order to contribute for adopting villages and educating them for the new world challenges. He said that TAUK would sponsor the programmes run by TITA and give logistic support in Digithon programme.

TITA vice-president Ranapratap Bojjam, Venkat Vanam, Srilatha Chinthala, Bhoosarapu Srinivas, Vivek Boddem, Pradeep Nilgirl, Kiran Jetty, Ravinder, Vaman, Shiva and others attended the event.
