‘T’ unions urge CS to let go willing AP employees

Telangana Officers and Employees Association general secretary A. Padmachary has requested Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to accept the willingness of Seemandhra-origin State-cadre employees working now in Telangana to get shifted to Andhra Pradesh and transfer them to that State.

Speaking after meeting the Chief Secretary here on Tuesday, Mr. Padmachary said options to the State-cadre employees as being planned by the Kamalanathan Committee was not required since Hyderabad would remain the common capital for 10 years. However, those who were willing to get shifted to AP government should be allowed to be repatriated to their native State.

Telangana Secretariat Employees Association leader M. Narender Rao stated that the Chief Secretary had assured to form a committee to identify fake nativity certificates submitted by the employees and also to examine the service registers of those employees, who did not submit them for verification for the purpose of division of employees between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Further, the Chief Secretary had assured them that the Telangana employees working in AP should wait for couple of months to get them repatriated to their native State.
