Students appear for Eamcet without major hiccups

The Eamcet-2015 passed off peacefully without any untoward incident here on Thursday.

Warangal region coordinator Prof. T. Srinivasulu said that in tri-cities of Warangal, Hanamkonda and Kazipet, a total of 1,33,320 students appeared for engineering exam at 23 centres that accounts for 95.26 per cent of the total registered candidates.

In the afternoon session, a total of 8,184 students appeared for the medical stream examination of the total 8,560 registered accounting for 95.6 per cent attendance. The exam was held at 16 centres.

Two denied entry for being late by a minute

Nizamabad Special Correspondent adds: Out of the total 7,626 candidates, who applied for the Eamcet engineering stream, 7,264 took the exam in 17 centres in the district headquarters on Thursday.

The total attendance was 95.25 per cent.

While the exam for engineering stream started in the morning, for medical stream the exam was held in the afternoon in eight centres.

Meanwhile, two students were denied entry into examination centres for being late. They were denied entry for being late by just a minute.

However, the exam went off peacefully amid tight security, according to Additional Joint Collector P. Rajaram, who was in-charge of the Eamcet from the district administration.

Late-comers not allowed

Sangareddy Staff Reporter adds: Eamcet examination was held peacefully in Medak district on Thursday. Out of the total 3,786 students, some 3,589 attended the engineering examination.

For medicine, 2,048 students attended out of the total 2,167 students who applied for the exam.

One student in Medak and three others in Siddipet were not allowed to write examination, as they were late.

No untoward incidents

Karimnagar Special Correspondent adds: The Eamcet-2015 was conducted peacefully without any untoward incident with the attendance of more than 96 per cent students at Karimnagar on Thursday.

Eamcet Karimnagar district coordinator Papa Rao said that the engineering stream of examination was conducted at 25 centres and the medicine stream at 12 centres. A total of 11,471 students appeared for the examination. In the medicine stream, a total of 5,539 students appeared in the examination.

Telangana State Council for Higher Education Vice-Chairman Mallesham inspected various centres in the town.
