October 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - KARIMNAGAR:

In order to achieve cent per cent immunisation of children and pregnant women, the District Medical and Health Department had decided to launch a week-long special immunisation campaign from October 7 onwards as part of the Mission Indradanush programme.

Mission Indradanush, a flagship programme of the Union Government, would be conducted from October 7 to 13, and also November, December and January in the first phase. Disclosing the details to mediapersons here on Tuesday, DM&HO Aleem said that they would provide immunisation vaccines such as BCG, Polio, DPT, Hepatitis, Measles, Diphtheria and Vitamin A solutions for the children below two years of age. He said that there would be no change in the regular immunisation of various vaccines at all PHCs and other centres on every Wednesday and Saturday.
