SP urges Naxalites to join mainstream

Superintendent of Police D. Joel Davis called upon the Naxalites to shun violence and join the mainstream so that they can be rehabilitated suitably by the government. Terming their ideology as outdated, he said that Naxalites cannot achieve anything by living in forest.

The SP distributed cheques for Rs. 5 lakh to each of the 22 Naxalite victim families at a programme held in Karimnagar on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the Naxalites have been destroying public property and harming human lives by their violent acts.
