Snehit, Sreeja of GTTA win two titles each

S Fidel R Snehit and Akula Sreeja of Global Table Tennis Academy (GTTA) won two titles each in the 2nd Telangana State Inter District and State championships-2015 that concluded at District Sports Authority indoor stadium in Nalgonda on Wednesday.

While Snehit won Junior boys and Youth boys titles, Sreeja claimed Women and Youth Girls titles making it a double delight.

Crucial championships

With this, GTTA bagged six out of 10 titles in the crucial championships.

Snehit defeated Saroj Sirl of St Paul Stag Table Tennis Academy (SPSTTA) in Junior boys section and Harsh V Lahoti of Hanuman Vyayama Shala (HVS) in Youth boys category to retain no-1 position in the both categories.

International player Sreeja outsmarted Vruni Jaiswal of Gujarathi Seva Mandali (GSM) in Womens and Sasya of Anandnagar Welfare Sports Academy (AWA) in Youth girls section. Nalgonda MLA and former Sports Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, TTFI vice president SM Sultan, TSTTA President A.Narasimha Reddy and Secretary P.Prakash Raju gave away prizes.

Dr.Chandrachud (Care Hospital and GSM) bt Vighney Reddy (RBI and SPSTTA) 4-2 (11-7, 11-3, 3-11, 8-11, 14-12, 11-7).

Women’s: A.Sreeja (GTTA) bt Varuni Jaiswal (GSM) 4-2 (11-13, 11-7, 11-8, 10-12,13-11, 11-9)

Youth Boys:

S.Fidel.R.Snehit (GTTA) bt harsh V Lahoti (HVS) 4-1 (11-7, 11-8, 9-11, 11-9, 11-6)

Youth Girls

A.Sreeja (GTTA) bt Sasya (AWA) 4-0 (11-3, 13-11, 11-8, 12-10)

Junior Boys

S.Fidel.R.Snehit (GTTA) bt Saroj Siril (SPSTTA) 4-0 (11-8, 11-6, 11-3, 11-6)
