“Commitment towards the society is a must. Unethical practice can get benefits instantly or within a short period, but not in the long run,” said Mr. Sudhakar Mishra, IRS (Retd) while addressing the students on ‘Ethics & Governance’ at GITAM University constituent Hyderabad Business School (HBS) on Tuesday.

Mr. Mishra has addressed the budding managers and exhorted the importance of ethics, values and social responsibility. “God has created everybody differently. Do not follow the bad practices (like bribes) by saying everybody is doing,” he said. While admitting that ensuring good governance was really a difficult task, he said that openness (transparency), honesty, leadership are the essentials elements for good governance.
