Seven killed in three road accidents

Seven persons were killed in three road accidents that took place in Sangareddy and Medak districts on Sunday.

In the first incident, three of a family, two of them on the spot, were killed in an accident that took place at Masanpally in Kalher mandal.

According to sources, an RTC bus coming in the opposite direction hit the motorcycle resulting in the accident. Sangya Naik, 45, his son Anil, 15, died on the spot. His wife, Santeli Bai, 40, died while being treated at the government hospital at Narayanakhed. Kalher police have registered a case and are investigating.

In another incident at Sadashivapet, Vithal, 30, and his aunt Jayamma, 40, died on the spot when the two-wheeler they were travelling on was hit a by a lorry. Another five-year-old girl, Mahalakshmi, escaped with minor injuries, according to Circle Inspector K. Surender Reddy. Bodies were shifted to government hospital for post-mortem. Sadashivapet police have registered a case and are investigating.

Tractor overturned

In a separate incident at Chegunta, two persons travelling on a tractor were killed on the spot. According to Sub-Inspector K. Satyanrayana, the tractor hit a culvert wall and overturned. Those who died were identified as Sagar Nag, 25, and Gangara Nag, 23 - both of them of Chhattisgarh. Chegunta police registered a case and are investigating.
