Seminars to mark Sundaraiah death anniversary

The CPI (M) district committee will hold a seminar on “Prajaswamya Parirakshana — Prajala Karthavyam” on the occasion of the 34th death anniversary of the doyen of Marxist movement in South India Puchalapalli Sundaraiah here on May 19.

In a statement, party district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao said a district level seminar will be held here on Sunday to mark the death anniversary of Mr. Sundaraiah, a champion of the rights of poor, working class, peasants and other underprivileged sections of society.

Meetings will be held at the mandal level all over the district to reminisce the illustrious life and contribution of Mr Sundaraiah to the historical Telangana peasants armed struggle and to uplift farmers, agricultural labourers and marginalised groups, he said.

The towering personality known for his simplicity, honesty and commitment for the cause of poor is an enduring source of inspiration for the generations to come, he said.
