State Election Commissioner V. Nagi Reddy has reviewed election preparedness of the district administration for panchayat elections on Saturday. He expressed satisfaction over arrangements being made and directed the officials to conduct the elections properly.
Stating that the second phase of panchayat election process will be during Sankranti festival time, the Commissioner said that officials should take all precautions. He has also suggested that all the officials must be available during holidays as well in view of elections. He stressed the need of imparting required training for employees.
Collector D. Krishna Bhaskar explained the arrangements such as ballot papers, polling stations, polling personnel, observers, implementation of model code of conduct and for counting of ballots.
Commissioner of Police D. Joyal Davis, Joint Collector Padmakar and others were present.
