The district Collector has issued orders transferring tahsildars en masse on Friday in view of the Warangal Parliament by-election. In an order issued by district collector V Karuna, 25 tahsildars were moved out of their present place of work. The transfer of tahsildars was scheduled to take place prior to the announcement of the election schedule and a list of the officials was prepared last week. As the election notification was issued, the district Collector wrote a letter to the State Election Commission seeking permission to transfer the tahsildars. Following the consent from the Election Commission, the transfer orders were issued.
