School to adopt New Zealand model

Paramita educational institutions chairman E. Prasada Rao has said they will implement the New Zealand system of teaching 6Cs (character education, creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, communication and citizenship) in their educational institutions from the new academic year.

Mr. Rao was part of an Indian delegation that visited New Zealand from May 13 to 19 to study the education system there.

The visit was organised by Chrysalis, Chennai and Waikato University, Hamilton, New Zealand.

He said the New Zealand government gives top priority to education sector and encourages only government schools with the state-of-the-art facilities to teach.

Teachers’ performance

He appreciated the concept of performance appraisal of all the teachers including the headmasters of schools in that country.

Mr. Rao said he had decided to share his experience of the education system of New Zealand with the State government by submitting a report to bring changes in Telangana.

Mr. Prasada Rao said the classrooms there were very spacious with modern digital teaching facilities.
